Last updated October 19, 2026. These terms apply when you use xnightstarr.com, play Heartbroken Ruins No Future, or buy anything from XNIGHTSTARR ("we"). Specific agreements (sync licenses, the performance contract, custom music agreements, Music Commission System placement licenses) take priority over these terms for what they cover.
You must be 18 or older, or have a parent or guardian make the purchase, to buy, book, or open a Music Commission System account. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. Payments are processed by Stripe.
Digital products (game downloads, digital Collector's Editions, sync licenses, beats) are delivered by email right after checkout through links that work for 3 days. If a link expires or a file doesn't work, email us and we'll send a new one. Because digital files can't be returned, digital sales are final once delivered, except where the law gives you a right to a refund, or if the files are defective and we can't fix them. Sync license refunds follow the refund policy.
Custom Exclusive Song and Full Song Production orders start with a call, after which we confirm the details in writing: deliverables, timing, how many revision rounds, who owns what, and (for Full Song Production) the 50/50 publishing split sheet. That written agreement controls the rights in the song. If we can't agree on the details after the call, you can cancel for a full refund before production starts.
The booking deposit holds a date. Every booking is governed by the performance contract, which is emailed within 48 hours of your request with your show details filled in for you to review and sign. Fees, the balance due date, cancellation and refunds are set out in that contract. You can preview the standard contract. If we can't confirm your date, the deposit is refunded in full.
Every sync license and placement is governed by the license agreement delivered with it (non-exclusive, exclusive, or the drafted placement license approved in the Music Commission System). Licenses never transfer ownership of masters or publishing unless an agreement says so in writing.
All music, lyrics, artwork, videos, game content and text on this site belong to XNIGHTSTARR or its licensors. You may stream and share links freely. Anything beyond personal listening and playing (sampling, re-uploading, commercial use, sync) needs a license from us.
Don't misuse the site, the booking form, the download links or the Music Commission System: no attacks, scraping, spam, fake bookings, or attempts to get files you haven't paid for. We may cancel orders or close accounts involved in fraud or abuse.
The site and game are provided "as is". We work hard to keep everything running, but we don't promise they will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a purchase is limited to what you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
